program description of CLTP9

Tomohiro Takanashi

Class of CLTP9

Present Status: Ph.D student
Present position: Graduate School, Hokkaido University
Field of specialization: Aerospace engineering
Present Research Interests:: Space education

Statement of Purpose

I have taught how to make cansat as a TA in CLTP5, 6 and 7. In the past CLTPs, we used an i-CanSat as a teaching material.
My purpose is to learn how to make Cube Sat by participating as a student at CLTP 9 and to think about the space education program from the perspective of the student.

Feedback from CLTP

Since all basic procedures for designing satellites are written in textbooks, beginners can grasp the overall flow by reading textbooks.
Even those who have experienced making cubic sat level artificial satellites can reconfirm the detailed theory.
I think that preparing several patterns of textbooks according to the schedule is useful for future educational programs.

Vision for the future

The HEPTA - Sat program which omits the relatively technical assembly such as soldering can be lectured to a wide range of people, not limited to engineers.
I am planning to activate space education using i-CanSat and HEPTA-Sat learned through CLTPs.

Message for future CLTP participants

CLTP is a program for systematically learning the flow of artificial satellite design.
We will cover from beginners who have never studied electronic circuits to advanced experts who work in space agencies and we will learn how to teach for future students.
Let's develop world space education through CLTP!!
