program description of CLTP9

Ahmed Mashood

Class of CLTP9

Present Status: Space Scientist
Present position: Electrical Engineer, National Space Science & Technology Center (NSSTC), United Arab Emirates University, AL-Ain, Abu-Dhabi, UAE
Field of specialization: Swarm robotics, UAV's, Nano engineering, Control engineering
Research Interests: Nano/Pico-Satellite development, Global Navigation Satellite System- Augmentation system, Satellite swarming

Statement of Purpose

I believe space science technology is the next big frontier to be explored and conquered. Small satellites technologies have become more economical and easy to assemble. Japanese technologies have always inspired me and I believe the practical education system for this kind of satellite systems would really change the dynamics of the space science education system.

Feedback from CLTP

The CLTP-9 has been an eye opener for me. It showed how simple it is to teach satellite technology. Unlike other courses offered elsewhere, this had around 80% Practical hands-on training.

Vision for the future

Aim to create a niche market for the Nano/Pico-Satellite technology in a similar way the smartphone technology has created presently.

Message for future CLTP participants

If your aspiring to learn about space and satellites, CLTP is the right place to get introduced and get inspired.
