Statement of Purpose
The main purpose of applying for CLTP is to learn about space engineering education methods and its state-of-art tools. In turn, to make space engineering education accessible to students in Bhutan and cultivate interest in the young minds by conducting CanSat Competition and workshops. No institute in Bhutan offer any trainings, workshops or courses on space engineering at the moment. The College of Science and Technology (CST) Bhutan aspire to become first institute to offer space related education in Bhutan. The CLTP will help to network with relevant people and provide prospective for collaboration in space engineering and related projects.
Feedback from CLTP10
This training provides hands-on skills on developing a satellite putting together all the components and subsystem to gradually build a cube-sat. The major part of the training involves self-learning and putting in practice what is learnt in theory.
Vision for the future
I along with my colleague would like to conduct several trainings for students, faculty members and other stakeholders over next few months. We would like to instill interests in our people and advocate space education in Bhutan.
Message for future CLTP participants
If you are looking for a training which is challenging, self-paced and hands-on learning, CLTP is right for you.
